Today, the biggest challenge in front of everybody is to save the energy. We all know that a major portion of energy is generated from the fossil fuels and these fossil fuels is depleting at very fast rate. We can do nothing other than to save energy.

To coupe with this problem many companies have brought energy saving light bulbs or we can say CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light) bulbs. These energy saving bulbs comes is different shapes and sizes.

How CFL bulbs can save energy and up to how much? These CFL bulbs saves up to 75% of energy required to light any normal light bulbs. If in every home of United States, the normal bulbs replaces with CFL bulbs then we would save that much energy which can light more than 3 million homes for 1 year in United States, which is more than $600 million in annual energy costs. Some other benefits are also such as greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 700,000 cars can be decreased. These CFL bulbs have 10 times longer life than normal bulbs. You can choose to use under cabinet LED lights for efficiency.

There are some negative points also such as CFL bulbs contains harmful mercury and if it breaks then the members of house should have to evacuate the house within 15 minutes. So, it is necessary to use these CFL bulbs with caution and when it breaks then it should be removed carefully by wearing rubber gloves to protect themselves from the mercury content. The broken pieces should be kept in a sealed plastic bags and it should be disposed at a council dump rather than a normal household bin.

But the recycling and disposing of CFL bulbs is a big and expensive problem and if it will be not decomposed properly then there will be chances of water contamination by mercury.

We all are familiar with the different types of usage of lighting system in automobiles. Lighting systems in any vehicle is one of the most important parts. We use lights for various purpose such as engine bay light, back trunk light, headlights and tail lights. Every lighting system in a vehicle or an automobile serves an important purpose.
