LEDs used for grow lights
LEDs are perfect for grow lights because they use very little power. They give off low heat compared to halogens. LED grow lights have a lifetime of lifetime of 50,000 hours- the equivalent of 18 hours a day for 71/2 years.

There are pros and cons but the main con is price currently BUT will go down as more people realize how great they are to use and how little electricity they use.
